Lavinia de Rothschild & #Posthuman

I work with what is hidden. I create images in the space between visibility and refusal. My photography is not about capturing what is seen – but about revealing what resists being seen. It is a dialogue between light and absence, presence and withdrawal.

Each frame holds what remains unspoken. I do not document – I witness.

I use photography as veilwork: a medium of concealment and invocation, a language for what escapes narrative. Each image is an act of remembering – not just what was lost, but what was erased.

I photograph to protect what would be destroyed if it were fully exposed. I do not reveal. I remain.

The #Posthuman concept as a work does not seek comfort. It is an act of witnessing, an insistence on presence in the face of absence. In a time where truth is rewritten, these images are created to resist vanishing.

These are not just photographs. They are fragments of silence waiting to be heard.

This line does not explain, does not perform – it holds.
It signals sovereignty, refusal, and eternal return.
It is the voice of the one who sees without being seen.
It is the power of presence without exposure.
