A butterfly lives briefly and changes completely. In this series it becomes a figure for love: something that transforms us, that cannot be held without being harmed, and that leaves a mark after it has gone.

Ink-black wings bleed into trails of red; pale forms dissolve into light. Each painting holds beauty and injury in the same gesture, asking whether what is fragile is also what endures.
