TIMELESS LOVE

An essay in progress on unconditional love: what it asks of us, what its absence leaves behind, and how emotional depth survives in an age of brief encounters. It is the thread that ties the paintings and photographs together.

ON TRANSFORMATION

In the Butterflies paintings, beauty and damage arrive together. Metamorphosis is not only a promise; it is also a loss of the form that came before. The short life of the butterfly mirrors the fragility of our attachments.

The black butterflies drift toward the moth and its fatal pull to light. Here desire is an unreliable guide, leading us toward the very thing that may consume us.

ON IDENTITY AND THE CONSTRUCTED IMAGE

Posthuman treats identity as something we perform and something we hide. Masks, objects and bodies are arranged by hand so that a single photograph can hold both the surface and what lies beneath it.

Nothing is smoothed away. Instead of resolving the figure into an ideal, the images keep their flaws, leaving room for vulnerability and contradiction.
